Overview- About Course

Diploma in Nursery Teacher Training program is also known by the short name of NTT course. The main aim of NTT course is to cater to the nursery (pre-primary) level teacher workforce in India. NTT students are trained in areas like child education, teaching methodology, nursery level subjects & communication. The training turns graduate passed students into skilled nursery teachers.

The course will enable the student teacher to Understand the process of how children learn during the early childhood stage and the important role of play in learning and development. Understand the importance of early stimulation for development below 3 years and the kinds of child care practices and interactions that constitute early stimulation. Become familiar with the objectives and components of the preschool curriculum both as foundation for all round development and for promoting school readiness and its link with primary education. Become conversant with the principles of program planning and goals for immediate and long-term planning. Monitor and evaluate children’s progress, and understand the concept of learning cycle leading to feedback and re-planning. Understand the risks of early academic pressures and downward extension of primary curriculum on children’s development and early learning.

Eligibility Criteria

BA or B.Sc or B.com or any undergraduate program with aggregate 50% for General students category. For SC and OBC students a relaxation of 5% is given i.e. eligibility for them is 45%.

Duration

It is a full 2-year regular program.

Curriculum

The course curriculum is as per SCERT and examinations are conducted on a semester basis as per the schedule of PARIKSHA NIYAMAK PRADHIKARI UP which is the examination authority for the course.

Mode of Teaching is Hindi. Examinations are conducted only in Hindi.
